Fancy Mystery Box - Womens Large Dec 2014 Review

**This post contains affiliate links**
I have received another Fancy Mystery Box. I thought it was going to come last month, but it finally got here today. Things were really slow for November, but I'm expecting quite a bit this month. I ordered one of these earlier this year, but I thought there could be different items this time around so I thought I would try it again.

China Glaze Nail polish  -Silver I'm not in need of silver polish, as I have enough, and China Glaze isn't my favorite silver anyway. But, the timing is great as I soon will be transitioning out of gold polish season and into silver. I'm still not wearing this stuff though.

Propganda Mug - I literally cracked up when I saw this stupid thing. My IT Manager was just telling me he would like a coffee mug this afternoon. This is perfect for him. Seriously, it totally describes him.
Gold Cuff - Meh! I've gotten this before. I didn't have any use for it then, and I have no use for it now. I just don't like it.

LAEX Card Holder - Be Foolish.  Another Meh! I've also gotten this before. Same as above, no use, it's junk.
Message in a Bottle 4 GB USB Flash Drive - I actually like how quirky and unique this is. I'm thinking of gifting it to a coworker who would get a kick out of it.

Wafarer Sunglasses - I have also received these before, however, I can always use more. These are have a rubberized plastic coating, which makes them a little more durable when getting banged around in my bag. I just broke a pair this weekend, so this is good timing. I'm loving that I can wear cheap sunglasses now.

This box was pretty ok for me. I am happy to see the sunglasses, I like the unique flash drive, and the coffee cup literally cracked me up (especially since I know just who could use this!).

Fancy Mystery Box - April 2014

I have just now gotten around to posting the April Fancy Mystery box. I know, I'm behind. Anyway, when I first heard that Fancy had started this, I just new I had to find out what the Fancy Mystery Box was all about. There are 3 different sizes Small $10, Medium $20, and Large $40. I picked the Large.

Gold Plated Chain - I couldn't find a fancy link for this, but considering the quality, it's probably best. K found part of her chain was not actually gold plated, guess a part got skipped.
http://fancy.com/things/635052306143910240/Square-Jellyfish-Cell-Phone-Tripod-Mount
Jellyfish Tripod - I was excited to see this, it was definitely my favorite item in the box. But I've now had it since April, and have yet to actually get around to using. Maybe some day?
Shark Tooth - K was really hoping we would be receiving this. She is thrilled to get it.

Infinity scarf. I didn't open this because it's just going to be put away until fall arrives.

Milano Skeleton Rubber Watch. K was really hoping for this watch, and was totally thrilled to see itUnfortunately, ours came broken. K was able to fix it though.

The Fancy Mystery box was fun, and I'll probably do it again at some point.

Womens Large Fancy Mystery Box July 2014 Review

I decided to purchase another Fancy Mystery Box Cost: $10 (Small), $20 (Medium), $40 (Large). I got the Women's Large. I'm afraid to get any size other than the large, because every one of the smaller boxes seems to have wall decals included (do they have a secret warehouse of the stuff?). The next time I purchase a mystery box, it will probably be the men's, because sometimes I think they include more interesting items. Sorry about the differences in the pic sizes. This post contains affiliate links, which links directly back to Fancy.
Kinfolk Book - This is a book that is filled with randomness. It says on the cover it is filled with things to cook, make and do. I randomly flipped to a page and it was discussing how to be a good roommate. Poems on one page, recipes on the next. Theres even a page called "things to do with cardboard". So, basically, this book has not yet decided what it wants to be when it grows up. I'd love for it to go to someone who "get's it". Clearly, that person is not me.
Y-Split - 2 headphones can plug in to one Ipod or speaker. By far my favorite item in the box.
Had to try these Wayfarer sunglasses on. They will be going in the gift basket as I wear prescriptions. I'm pleased they are nice enough to give away.
K LOVES these cups! She already has the Octopus one. Today we got a shark. I want the crab one.
I love serving coffee to guests who do not know to expect this! Ahh, the way I get my kicks sometimes...
I couldn't wait to see what was in this bag.
Gold Cuff Link Bracelet - So pretty. Both K and I both Loved this immediately. . Realistically, neither one of us is actually likely to wear it.

That's it for the Mystery Fancy Box. I can't wait to get another one!

Tyler Florence Fancy Box Review April 2014

My Tyler Florence Fancy Box arrived today! This is definitely one of my favorite subscription boxes. It costs $39.99 a mo +$7.95 shipping. They send you fun kitchen gadgets.

Single Herb Pot ($24)- I love this!!! I can't wait to start growing herbs with my kit from my Bill Nye box and this!!!!!! This is a huge win for me!

Stainless Steel Vegetable Steamer ($8)- We use to own one of these but it didn't make it through the last move. I am excited to steam some veggies.

White Marble Mortar and Pestle ($20)- I was ecstatic to see this! I was shopping with my friend at Costco and was seriously debating buying a huge family sized one, and passed on it hoping one would arrive in this box and I lucked out!!!!! I can't wait to make guacamole.

Tomato Huller ($5)- This looked a lot bigger in the spoilers. I love it! I cannot wait to make salsa and pasta sauce and this will be useful.

Wooden Citrus Reamer  ($7)- I love this too! I use limes and lemon while cooking so this will also be useful in the kitchen this summer!
I Peeler ($9)- This is the fanciest peeler I have ever seen! It's so comfortable too! I also passed on buying a peeler and lucked out with this box!

Tator Mate and Brush and Eye Remover ($9)- This gadget removes eyes and cleans the potatoes to make them ready to cook! I also don't have a potato brush so happy to get this too!

Overall this months box had a value of about $82 and this box was a complete win for me! I loved every item and didn't own any of it! I cannot wait for next month's box! If you want to sign up you can use the code FOLLOWUP10 to receive 10% off any Fancy order.

Snoop Dog Fancy Box

I saw today on Fancy.com that Snoop Dog is now curating a new monthly subscription box. The box costs $42.00 (insert 420 jokes here) plus $7.95 for shipping, instead of the normal $39. It promises $80+ of products picked put by snoop dizzle himself. Also required to be over 18 to order, and this is the only Fancy Box I have seen that requires an age limit. Also there was a pretty in depth liability disclosure for the use of the items, so interpret how you will. I am still not entirely convinced it's not an April fool's joke but it's allowing me to put into cart. I don't think I'll be subscribing but curious to see what people receive. What do you think about the new celebrity curated box?

*UPDATE* Apparently it is shipping it's first box on 4/20, of course. So I am picking up on a common theme here...

Fancy Box Mystery Box Review

Fancy is offering Mystery Boxes for $10 + $7.95 for shipping. They are a one time purchase and you can choose between and Men and Women boxes. I was excited to try this because everyone was suppose to get something different and therefore I couldn't spoil it for myself like I always do!

Fancy Notebook Set ($12)- I really like these! They will be great little notebooks to have in my purse.

Buy It now

China Glaze (Platinum Silver) ($7.50)- I really like this color! Thinking of pairing it with my baby pink color.

http://fancy.com/things/581719947340685139/Mystery-Box
LAEX Card Holder ($27)- I was not excited for this. I don't really see a use for this because I use a wallet, but I guess you could use it for going to the beach or something. It also says "Be Foolish" on it. I think that is a pretty dumb saying to have stamped on the holder containing your credit cards and drivers license. I also wouldn't pay $27 for it, maybe $2...wait not even then, maybe I would take it as a freebie as a bonus item at a store.

http://fancy.com/things/581719947340685139/Mystery-Box
Work Hard Stay Humble Wall Decal ($20)- I saw a TON of these in everyone else's spoilers and was praying I wouldn't get this! But surprise surprise here it is! I swear Fancy has a whole warehouse of these and was excited to do the Mystery Boxes to clear them out of the warehouse because I have a feeling these are not flying off the shelves, especially at $20 a pop.

Overall the box had a retail value of $66.50 and I paid $17.95. I was a bit disappointed in this box. I saw other spoilers and people got some really cool stuff. I had my eye on a ciate nail set. In retrospective I don't think I would have paid what I did for this particular box, but it was fun to have no idea what I was going to get.  If you wanna grab a mystery box before they sell out you can go here and search for "mystery box". You can also use "FOLLOWUP10" to get 10% off any Fancy order.

Tyler Florence Fancy Box March 2014 Review

My first Tyler Florence Fancy Box arrived this weekend!! I was very excited to try this box because it is something other than makeup and beauty supplies so I feel it will be more useful than most of my other boxes. I also am stocking up house supplies for when I move out. I am a foodie and LOVE cooking so this box seemed perfect for me!! The box cost $39 a month + $7.95 for shipping.

Cake Server ($8)- This was pretty cool to receive. It's not something that I would actually go out and purchase myself but I am very happy to have one. I envision myself using it to serve fresh baked cake to my guests at my new apartment....Daydreaming away.

Round Slate Coasters ($12)- These are such chic coasters. They are heavy slate coasters with rubber on the bottom so they don't scratch your table. As my friend pointed out you can use chalk on them to label names on! Love that idea might just have to steal it ;)

Set of Two Bamboo Servers ($21)-  I cannot wait to use these! I will use them for serving a salad or pasta dish at a dinner party. I love the rubber material for the gripping section.

Spoon Rest ($9)- I am guilty of being a messy cook in the kitchen and I use the spoon rest at my mom's house religiously when cooking spaghetti, so I know this will get great use in my future kitchen!

Rustic Bakery 2 Seed Lavosh ($8)- These are sourdough lavosh. They taste pretty good on their own but I think will be great with a cheese or dip.

Small Steak Cutting Baord ($25)- I love this acacia wood board! I can use this for serving cheese and crackers or for using as a cutting board in the kitchen.

Overall I am pretty happy with this box and cannot wait for next month's box! It had a retail value of $81! This box in particular didn't seem to have the "wow" factor like his past boxes have had, but every single item in this box is useful for me and it is all getting stored away in my hope chest! If you would like to sign up you can check it out here and search Tyler Florence. You can use the code "FOLLOWUP10" to receive 10% off and Fancy order.

Fancy Box Jennifer Love Hewitt Novmeber 2013 Review

My Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box arrived this week! I've been recovering from wisdom teeth removal surgery and haven't't been able to post much, so sorry about the delay! This is still one of my favorite boxes! Jennifer Love Hewitt's box is $39 + $7.95 shipping/ month and you get $80 worth of products hand picked by JLove herself. This month JLH chose travel as the theme of the month which is right in my ball park because I just booked a few trips.

Paddywax Olive Leaf and Lemon Rome  Tin Candle ($16)- I love the theme of the candle and how it is incorporated into the theme of the box, but the smell is very masculine and not my style. This one is going in the gift box.

Passport Mighty Wallet by Dynomighty ($15)- This wallet is covered in passport stamps design. At first I was a little confused as to what it was, but it is described as a tear-resistant, water-resistant, expandable and recyclable wallet. This wallet will be fun to try out but I don't think it will be replacing my daily wallet.

Travel Manager by Zero Per Zero ($25)-  I love this Travel Manager!! It is designed to properly keep your important travel documents such as passport, e-tickets, transportation tickets, and other notes organized during your trips. I received the black Tokyo silk screen print. This will be getting some great use.

The New York Times 36 Hours; West Coast ($15)-  This book includes mini weekend vacation ideas on the West Coast. I flipped through this book and love it. It even has the San Juan Islands listed in here and mentioned some places I haven't even heard of over there. I would really love to take some ideas from this book and travel more in the upcoming year.

Overall I came up with a total of $70 value for the box, which is a little below the advertised $80 value, but it's still more than I paid and I really enjoyed the items this month! I hope that all the products get put to good use in the upcoming year! If you would like to sign up you can here and you can use the code FOLLOWUP10 to save 10 percent off your first order.
