Blush Mystery Box January 2015 Review

I had already seen the spoilers for this months Blush Mystery Box. I am not excited about this box at all, which is mostly why I'm so far behind on this review. Once the Avene Cleanser Gel spoiler was posted, I immediately cancelled this subscription. This is the exact same item we received in December, and I really can't figure out why it was featured this month, as if it was something new to be excited about. They did the same thing the previous month, where they included the exact same shampoo as they had the month prior. There was a time when this was my favorite subscription, but the past couple of months I can't really say that it's been the same type of subscription box. It's as if someone completely different is now curating it. OR, subscibers are so far down they have extra inventory and need to distribute it. Also, they started Mystery Bags this month, which of course I ordered, but it does make me believe they need to get rid of inventory.

The theme this month is Refresh and Rewind.
The theme this month is Refresh and Rewind. They included a coupon for $10 off a $75 purchase from DermStore.
Talika Bio Enzymes Mask - $12. There were variations, but I received the Hydrating one. I used it last night and it worked very well. I did wake up with my skin feeling just a little bit softer and more hydrated.
Eau Thermal Avene Cleanance Gel - Full size $20. Meh. Didn't care for it last month, not happy to see the repeat visitation. It's soapless cleanser.
Covergirl FX BB Gel Matifying Anti-blemish treatment N medium - $7. It's not that I don't like every bit of the description, I'm just not wild about the brand.
SkinMedica Dermal Repair Cream - $10. Now this brand I actually like, so I'm ok with this! This works for normal to dry skin.
Medicell Advanced Moisture Eye Mask Duo - $10. I'm happy to see this. I was really excited to get the eye masks from PopSugar, but then it turned out it had Lavender in it, an ingredient I stay away from. So, I feel a little better getting it from another source. This one is Fragrance Free and Paraben free, so I'm happy.
Hydroxatone Headband - $3. I can't find a link anywhere online, but I saw another blogger give it a value of $3 and I agree with that. This is a great spa headband. I'm actually in need of a new one so this is good timing. I never want to use one of my good ones when doing facials for fear I could get something on it that would cause a stain or discoloration.
Cargo New Essential Lip Gloss in Vienna - $16. This is a really bright pink. I'm not sure how thick it goes on, but I'm not swatching it because I'm already planning to swap.
Glo Minerals Glo Lipstick in Spark - $17. Another color that is just simply not for me. I do like that full size was included.
Blush has been really disappointing for awhile now. I've already cancelled. I just did some research, since I've been sitting here complaining about the curation lately, it seems that Target bought them out. So, maybe they are trying to introduce more drugstore brands? IDK what is going on. I just don't like it. The boxes feel like a curated hot mess.

Blush Mystery Beauty Box December 2014 Review

Blush Mystery Beauty Box is still one of my favorite subscriptions. This month, seemed way more random than normally. I haven't really been wowed the past couple of months. But I will say this company consistently ships on time. This month, I liked more items than not, so I'm ok with it. Not wowed. Just Ok.
Blush Mystery Beauty Bag always comes in a little black bag.
Klorane Shampoo with desert date - FULL size included. K is in need of new shampoo, so this is good timing for her to try. This is good for dry or damaged hair, and repairs split ends. I've never actually seen a shampoo that made that claim really do that, I'm not even sure I see how it's possible.
Clean Shower Fresh Eau de Parfum - I have heard of this brand before, but was under the impression this was for men. I guess not. It's still perfume so it's outa here.
Ahava DeadSea Water Mineral Body Lotion - I have never tried Ahava lotions, only Ahava hair products, which I actually do like. I like having this size of lotions to keep in my car and my bag, and this is unscented so I like it.
Keranique Scalp Stimulating Shampoo - Promotes micr-circulation to stimulate follicles. Exfoliates scalp to eliminate buildup and blockage. I'm trying this tomorrow. Give my hair a break for a bit.
Avene Cleanance Gel - FULL Size - It's face wash, only it's soapless cleanser. I think because it's actually a gel. I had to google it to figure out what this is. I don't know how I feel about it.
Pixie Endless Silky Eye Pen in CafeGold - I can't quite tell the color, but it's looks like a soft brown eyeliner to me. Which I am in need of. So, as long as it's more Café than Gold, this will work fine.
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil- I thought this was nail polish, but it's actually shimmery Dry Oil. What the heck is dry oil? Isn't it all oil? This is multi-use, so can be used on face, body, hair. I won't be doing that, but I think it's very pretty.
Paula's Choice Shine Stopper Oil Control - FULL Size included. Apply over your foundation. I am happy to see this. I love my benefit Porefessional stuff, but I'm happy to try another brand. I like Paula's Choice so this is a hit for me.
LipFusion Plump & Shine Lipstick in BabyDoll - Love the lipstick, not so much the color. We tend to wear reds, and this is definitely pink. I also really like these trial lipsticks and glosses, they are so perfect for my travel bags.
Cargo cosmetics eye Shadow in Ox - I very much dislike this. I think yellow eyeshadow is ugly. And this is an ugly yellow. Double whammy of yucky. I'm not just saying that because I don't wear Eyeshadow. I'm saying I very much dislike this.

Blush Mystery Beauty Box November 2014 Review

Blush Mystery Beauty Box- $24.95 +shipping a month. Each month blush mystery box features travel-size and full-size beauty products worth at least $100. If you are interested, please email us at brierreview@gmail.com and I will send you a referral code from their website. You will receive a $10 gift card to use at DermStore.com, blush.com and hairenvy.com
Blush Mystery Beauty Box always arrives in this black bag. I never know quite know what to do with the bag after opening it.
Traditions by Nick Chavez Prickly Pear Restoring Mist - Spray leave in conditioner for damaged hair. I have yet to decide if I'm a fan of this brand, although I'm starting to see it everywhere.
Julien Farel Hair Care Hydrate Restore - FULL Size included. You are supposed to use this once a week in lieu of your regular shampoo/conditioner. You first use this on your scalp, prior to wetting your hair, then spread throughout your hair. Use a little water when needed. I've received this before but never tried it.
Lauren B Beauty Nourishing Hand Crème - Oh, Lauren B. Beauty, I want to like you, I really do. Your so cute, and you have a lot of items in your product line that is stuff I use/like. I just don't really know why we don't get along better.
http://www.dermstore.com/product_Broad+Spectrum+Face+SPF+20_32558.htm
Miracle Skin Transformer Face Spotlight SPF 20 - This is a BB cream, so even though I've gotten this plenty of times this year, I'm never disappointed to get another.
Jane Iredale Eye Gloss in Pink Silk - I really like liquid eye makeup, so I'm not too disappointed to see this, even if I never end up using it. I hear I got one of two shades, but I have no info on what the other shades were.
Skinmedica TNS Eye Repair - This is a night eye cream, pretty pricey for full size. I am a fan of this brand, and a fan of night eye cream, so this is a hit for me!
Nuxe Clarifying Cream-Mask with Rose Petals - I'm guessing I won't be able to use this, due the flowers, so I'm not even gonna try. I wish I could though.
Laura Geller Beauty Cool Lids Cream Eyeshadow in Silver Sands - Another liquid shadow. I don't know why we got two this month, but I think they would look really pretty together, so when I gift I'll include both.

Blush Mystery Beauty Box October 2014 Review

I received the Blush Mystery Beauty Box a couple days ago. But I feel so Meh! over this months bag that I haven't exactly rushed to get the review up. Now that I'm looking a little closer, I've moved up to feeling OK about it.  If you aren't familiar, Blush Mystery Beauty Box is $24.95 + shipping a month. Each month blush mystery box features travel-size and full-size beauty products worth at least $100. If you are interested, please email me at brierreview@gmail.com and I will send you a referral code from their website. You will receive a $10 gift card to use at DermStore.com, blush.com and hairenvy.com.
Blush Mystery Beauty Box always comes in a black bag, rather than a traditional box.
Klorane Shampoo with Desert Date - $15 FULL SIZE was included! This is the first time I've received a Klorane product that wasn't a dry shampoo. This particular shampoo is designed for dry, damaged, and brittle hair. I won't be using this right away, but I don't hate it either. I like that the company has a focus on environmental sustainability and the products are paraben free. It does have sulfates however.
Strivectin AR Advanced Retinol Night Treatment - full size cost is $107. I love this brand, and I'm thrilled to see any of their products. This boosts cell renewal and rejuvenates your skin, promotes elasticity and diminishes fine lines and wrinkles. This does have retinol do it's best not to go in the sun while using. This is my favorite item this month, I only wish we had gotten a bigger size.

Cargo Beach Blush - Cable Beach - $30 FULL SIZE included. This is a combination of Blush and Bronzer. I love these colors and I'm actually curious to see how well they blend together.
Batiste Dry Shampoo Original -  $3.99. Of course there is a dry shampoo included. I get one or two a month. And with this being my first box for October, I guess it makes sense to have that included. I still can't figure out why they are everywhere nowadays, but now that I've figured out a great way to use them with a blow-dryer, I don't hate nearly as much as I used to. I don't want to call this full size, because it's not, but it is one of the sizes DermStore sells.
Glytone Hydrating Eye Cream - $38 FULL SIZE WAS INCLUDED! Delivers all-day antioxidant rich hydration to soften and soothe the delicate eye area. This is the main featured item, and I'm thrilled to see it. This is a tie for my favorite item this month. Eye cream is one product I'm always nervous to be without, so I like to stay well-stocked.
These are the samples that were included this month. I receive a lot of Cotz Face samples, so this is nothing new. I like the Cotz brand because it's light and absorbs quickly. I was surprised to see a Klorane shampoo sample because we just received a full size bottle of it, but this one is with mango.

Blush Beauty Mystery Box August 2014 Review

Blush Mystery Beauty Box is truly one of my favs. It's $24.95 +shipping a month. Each month blush mystery box features travel-size and full-size beauty products worth at least $100. If you are interested, please email me at brierreview@gmail.com and I will send you a referral code from their website. You will receive a $10 gift card to use at DermStore.com, blush.com and hairenvy.com.
Blush Mystery Beauty Box always comes in a simple black bag.
You also always receive a few samples. The Blue Lizard sunscreen looks like an Australian brand, but I discovered they are based out of TN. Products are Paraben Free & Fragrance Free.
GloMinerals Face Primer is also a brand I've never tried. I really like face primers, because they help keep your foundation in place for a longer period of time.
Neuma Texturizer styler - $21.95 This is made from renewable, beneficial plant-based ingredients. Their motto, because, like you, we care for earth and hair. It says it's lightweight and creates a frizz-free look, which I am always in need of in this weather. I'm currently using an Aveda product, so I can't exactly try this anytime soon. But I may take a break from that just to give this a whirl.
Nailtiques Color Lacquer in Milan - $10 I LOVE the color, completely perfect for me. I am not familiar with this brand. My Blush Mystery box was delivered on a very hot day. It sat in my stuffy mailbox all day long in the very hot heat. Still, I was very surprised to find the product leaked right out. By the time I got my mail, this nail polish was completely stuck on the box of the BB cream. I had to pull it off and a little bit of the paper is permanently attached to the bottle, hahaha.
Dr. Brandt BB Matte with shine erase - $39. I'm a huge fan of Dr. Brandt products. This is in Light to Medium, which is perfect for me. This is by far my favorite item in the box. I've been using dermaC BB cream and I'm almost out, so perfect timing! The color I got was light to medium, which is perfect for me! Very happy to get this! My favorite item in the box, and it made this months box for me.
Pixi Lid Last Shadow Pen in Graphite Glint - $18 Glides on like a cream, dries like a powder. This is like a crayon for Eyeshadow, and can be sharpened like an eyeliner. This can be used as a shadow, liner and highlighter - all in one.
Nick Chavez Beverly Hills Plump 'N Thick Shampoo - $20. I was looking to try a different shampoo this week, so I will be trying this. I just want to give my hair a break from what I have been using for such a long time. I don't really need thickening shampoo, but I do want to see how this works for me as my hair is feeling a little lifeless lately.

Skinmedica Dermal Repair Cream - $124, for 1.7 oz and we received .25 oz. Still pricey. I'm thrilled to get this. Firms and defends climate-stressed skin. I don't know what's going on with the weather lately, I feel like we went from burning hot at the beginning of this week to muggy and slightly cold by the end of this week. My skin is not loving it. What I do love is pricey face moisturizers that I wouldn't normally buy. This is a hit for me.

Great value this month, as always. See ya next month, Blush Bag!

Blush Mystery Box July 2014 Review

Blush Mystery Box is here! I don't know if I've told  you or not, but I am really liking this subscription. It may just be my favorite.

Blush Mystery Box always arrives in a black bag.
 Love the info card!
 These were the free samples.
Julien Farel Hair Care Zero Frizz Restore $33- full size! It says anti-aging for your hair. I'm thrilled to see this. I have curly hair, but I generally straighten. In the meantime, I have just the person to give this to.
Dr Dennis Gross Skincare  Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel - This is just one application, that is a 2 step process. I'm not including a price, because it's just one packet, and I've never really been good at estimating the value of foil packets.
Cattiva Cosmetics Waterproof Automatic Lip Pencil - Dolce Diva $20 - This lip liner, and the lipgloss that I'll show later, were bonus items.
SmartFX SmartEye Wrinkle Lift $60 - Full size!!! A brightening cream that gets rid of dark circles in 60 seconds. I'll try it out. This is probably my favorite item to try this month.
Great Barrier Island Bee Co Manuka Honey Intensive Hand and Nail Cream - $22 for full size, but we received travel size.

Once again, a great shipment from Blush! I paid $27.32 (with shipping), and this month was over $113. Each month blush mystery box features travel-size and full-size beauty products. If you are interested, please email me at brierreview@gmail.com and I will send you a referral code from their website. You will receive a $10 gift card to use at DermStore.com, blush.com and hairenvy.com
