Honest Company Essentials Bundle June 2014 and Promo code, news, and upcoming products

My Essentials Bundle from the Honest Company for June arrived this week! This week I also added additional items on my bundle.

Toilet Cleaner- I am stocking up cleaning supplies for my new apartment coming up in September. I loved the ingredients on this and have read postive reviews so far.

Sunscreen SPF 30- With summer quickly approaching I am stocking up on sunscreen as much as I can. I am not sure if this sunscreen will be sufficient enough to keep me from burning for my upcoming port job on my very fair skin, but I will definitely use this on my non work days.

Organic Breathe Easy Rub- My BFF and I were seriously stalking the website for weeks waiting for this breathe easy rub to finally come back in stock. When it did I immediately added it to my bundle and texted her! The bottle is a lot smaller than I imagined. I love the medicinal smell of the rub and so far I really liked it. This will be well used in the upcoming flu season.

Dish Soap- I decided to get the lemon verbena scented dish soap. So far I love the smell. Can't wait to test it out!

Conditioner Detangler- I am really loving this stuff. It smells like a light creamsicle and makes me happy when I spray it. It seems to work well on my tangles but I am not sure if it's soothing to my hair.

Hand Soap (lemongrass)- Mom subtley hinted that she was really sad that she was almost out of her lemongrass Honest Co. hand soap that I got her for christmas, so I went ahead and added this on for her. She was really happy to see it.

Canvas Tote- I added on the canvas tote this month. I really like that you can wear it as a messenger or a tote. I will definitely be using this for some upcoming trips to the farmer's markets.

Healthy Child Healthy World- I really like Jessica Alba's The Honest Life book and after reading some reviews of Christopher Gavigan's book I decided to purchase it. Christopher is the co-founder of the Honest Company, and what I really love about him is that he has a BS in Environmental Science which shows me that they are using science as a catalyst for the choices they are making in the products they develop and carry. Overall, I really loved  this book. It was very family and baby centered as he is a father and has a Master's degree in Child Psychology, but it also had a lot of in depth information on toxic chemicals found in household items. He also offered up cheap green cleaning tips, home made beauty product recipes, and even information on grocery store items. I am really happy with this purchase and I feel it offers more in depth information than The Honest Life.

NEWS

*This month the Honest Company is offering a FREE father's day water bottle with a $35 purchase and must be entered by 6/30 and bundle must ship by 7/11 you can use the code #HonestDad. I was excited to add this on, but I am totally keeping for myself so I will have to figure out a way to cover/scratch off the dad part.

*And the Big news this month is that Honest Company is partnering up with Target to carry products in stores. This was huge news. I was excited that I will be able to get my necessities at the nearest Target and won't have to pay for shipping. But then after thinking for a while, I was nervous that this will affect the prices, quality, and availability of the items. But Honest Company addressed these issues on their Facebook page and assured customers that the prices and quality will not change, which made me feel a lot better about this.

*I follow Christopher Gavigan on twitter and was really excited about his tweet with pictures of new products! I see spray sunscreen!!! You know I will be stocking up on that! Also in the pictures were a sunblock stick and the adorable kids sunglasses that are already available.

*If you read the celebrity gossip sites you might have seen the controversial article about Honest Company's wipes. Apparently they manufacturer their wipes and kitchen tools in china for cost efficient reasons. Per the gossip sites the company that manufactures the wipes has been in trouble with the FDA in the past and has even been barred from importing to the US on two occasions for "unsafe" drugs found in their shipments. Honest Company has been very open about the source of their products, and their blog posts from 2012 explain why they are manufacturing overseas. As far as the FDA issues for the manufacturing company, Honest Company insists it was for packaging issues and assures customers that they hold all companies partners are held to high standards. I was shocked when I first read the articles, and realized that it was something I should have read into on the packaging information. After reading their responses, and doing more research on their products on the environmental groups website, I feel a lot better about the recent news articles and still believe they produce great products that are more greener and safer than what is traditionally offered in stores.

As far as the BBB revoking I have had phenomenal experiences with their customer service. Every single representative I have emailed has always offered great solutions to my issues and it has honestly been one of the best companies I have had to deal with.  I am also really annoyed by all the negative comments on their Facebook page recently from unhappy people. People are signing up for the free trials and not reading the terms and conditions, which are clearly stated three times on the sign up page very clearly, and is also emailed to them three times, letting them know that if you don't cancel within the first few weeks you will automatically be enrolled in the bundle program and charged. If you are entering your credit card into anything you need to read the terms people! It's really lame that people are not being responsible for their own actions and then blaming the company for lying and then attacking them on social media sites. They are completely transparent about the terms and conditions you just have to actually read them!!

Honest Company May 2014 Box Review

My Honest Company Essential Bundle also arrived this week! I love this company. Their customer service is beyond amazing. I emailed them to change my order last minute and they were able to do so for me. I also had an issue with my healing balm from a few months ago. It crystalized and became grainy, they have since changed the formula to prevent that and apologized and sent me a new bottle for no cost! Way to provide amazing service! I was disappointed that the EarthDay Tote I order didn't arrive in the box but I got so many perks and free products that I can't really complain! The essential bundle cost $35.95 plus shipping a month (but if you add on items to cost more than $50 there is free shipping). You get to customize which five items you want and can add up to three additional items and save 25% on those items.

Sunscren SPF 30- With summer coming up I need to start stocking up on sunscreen! I am super excited that they are offering an eco friendly sunscreen as regular ones have really harsh chemicals in them.

Organic Body Oil- I can't wait to try this. I got a few bottles so I hope I love it.

Bug Spray- Another item I was happy to see they added on their site in time for summer! It has a strong citronella scent, but smells so much better than the other bug sprays that have strong chemical scents.

Honest auto dishwasher gel- I am stocking up on cleaning supplies so added to my bundle this month.

Honest Laundry Detergent- I am super sensitive to laundry soaps as many of them use heavy metals and I am super allergic, so I am happy to try this out!!

For this month they added the Pomegranate Lip Shimmer as a bonus item! I was so happy to see this and it's going in mom's mothers day gift basket!

Overall I loved this months choices and the bonus item! I have already chosen my items for next month. I really want to try the organic breathe easy rub and soy candles and have been constantly stalking the site to see if they have come in stock yet. They have also announced that they are working on deodorant, so I can't wait to try that! I also hope the lip shimmer and scrub from the mothers day box means they are going to start carrying beauty products soon!

Honest Company Mothers Day Box Review

My Honest Company Mothers Day Box arrived this week! I was so excited for this box. It cost $50 but I was lucky to use a 40% off coupon so it cost me $35 with shipping. There are still more available but you better snag them up quick before they are gone! If you go to the page it is under the gift section.

I love the reusable wood box it came in!

A signed copy of the Honest Life!!!!!! I love this book! This book has great tips and information and isn't judgy or pushy at all. She even states that cloth diapers aren't practical for her and that many "earth-friendly" products don't work as well, so she strives to find effective solutions. I love her outlook and I love honest company.

Lip Shimmer in Pomegranate- This stuff is amazing! It smells great and has an awesome color! I really hope this means that they will start making beauty products!

Sea Salt and Sugar Scrub in Lavender Vanilla scent- I love the smell of this. It has a very light lavender scent and mom didn't even notice the lavender. It has like a honey scent to it. Can't wait to use this.

Lavender Vanilla Soy Candle- This smells amazing!!!! I hope they get more candles back in stock!

Organic Body Oil-So I ended up with a few bottles this month. My friend is loving this stuff so I am excited to try this.

I could not come up with a value for this box as many of the items were exclusive to this box, but it was worth the $30 purchase. I love the signed book the most, and loving all the exclusive items. If you want to purchase you can use my link here,

I received my Honest Company Box for December! I am still signed up for the Essential Bundle which is $35/month and you pick five beauty and household products. I love this company and encourage you to read on the history of the company and Jessica Alba's philosophy behind starting the company.

Bathroom Cleaner- This cleaner is described as a powerful non-toxic formula that leaves your bathroom sparkling clean and delightfully fresh. I love that it comes with a pump and cant wait to try it out.

Bubble Bath- This bubble bath is formulated for long-lasting bubbles and will not dry, irritate, or cause tears. I love the light tangerine scent and cant wait to use this in the tub to relax!

Suds Up- This is a ceramic soap dish and bamboo brush for cleaning dishes. I love this product and its now my favorite item from the Honest Company. I love the butterfly spring pump and cant wait to use this in the kitchen.
Dish Towel- This is a 2 pack of 100 percent organic cotton towels. The towels are described are uniquely woven for extra scrubbing power, extra absorbency, and extra durability. I am excited to start collecting towels for the kitchen.

Hand Soap- I got this soap last month and had to get more for this month. The scent is amazing and the soap doesn't dry out my hands.

This was a bonus item this month and its tree. I thought this was a super fun bonus item and cant wait to plant it in the backyard.

This is my favorite company and once again I am impressed with all the products I picked out this month. If you would like to sign up you can here.

    Honest Company November 2013 Review

I was looking into getting a bundle from the Honest Company for a while now but I was still debating signing up for another subscription box. But then Groupon had a deal running that was spend $20 for $40 worth of products, so I immediately jumped on that and ordered the Essential Bundle. The Essential Bundle is $35/ month and has beauty and household products that you choose from. You can pick five items and add on additional three items which offers 25 percent off. This company was started by Jessica Alba because she wanted to provide families with safe products that don't have harsh chemicals in them that could affect you and  your family's health. The shipping was incredibly fast. I live in WA and it shipped Monday and arrived Wednesday.

I thought the packaging was super cute and was really impressed that they put the liquids in plastic bags just in case they leaked, but there were not any issues.

Honest Face+ Body Lotion-I love this lotion. Jessica Alba explains in her book that she is very allergic to fragrances so the products sold are hypo-allergenic. I love that this lotion doesn't have any harsh chemicals that I should be worried about. I really love the packaging. The cap is amazing. This Will be a great lotion for winter.

Honest Healing Balm-This healing balm can be used on diaper rash, irritated skin, eczema, and minor cuts and scrapes. I thought it would be a great staple product to have for the upcoming winter months.

Honest Honest Hand Soap Lemongrass-This was my favorite item and I have already added to next months order so I can put it in the other bathrooms. It has a light citrus scent and hasn't dried out my hands.

Honest Wipes (4 pack)- Another product I love! Biodegradable, hypoallergenic, chlorine-free, medical grade, and sustainably harvested. I work in a lab and love to constantly need to wipe down my station so these have worked out great. I also have kept a pack in my glove box. I will reorder these.

Honest Shampoo+ Body Wash- This body wash hypoallergenic, tear free, color safe, vegan, biodegradable, pH balanced, Naturally Non-toxic. It has a very light sweet orange vanilla scent. I love this body wash. It hasn't dried out my skin and works well with my loofah. I will definitely repurchase.

Hand Sanitizer Spray (2 pack)- I love these. With winter months coming up I am constantly applying sanitizers to keep away the seasonal cold. The spray effctively kills 99.99 percent of germs and bacteria using all natural plant-based protection.

I absolutely love this company and Jessica Alba is now my idol! After how happy I was with the products I ordered Jessica's book the Honest Life which discussed keeping your household free of harsh chemicals and beauty products. If you would like to subscribe you can sign up here. The hardest part of the service is deciding which 5 items to pick because I want to try them all!
