BirchBox December 2014 Review

*This post contains referral links
Birchbox is $10/month + tax. You get 4-6 beauty items. You fill out a profile and the items should be a match for you.
This is the prettiest BirchBox box I have seen yet. I was really feeling the Holiday Joy! The theme this month is Decked out. They also included a $10 gift code to spend at The Gap. Not a coupon, a code. I might not use it, but I like that it's a code and not a coupon that I also might not use.
Davines Naturaltech Replumping Superactive - Full Size included - Leave in spritzer. K might like this.
Davines NaturalTech Replumping Shampoo & Conditioner - Foil packets. Blech.
Mirenesse iCurl Secret Weapon 24 Hr Mascara - I love trying new Mascaras, so I'm happy to get this. This particular brand is new to me. I have just discovered their lip glosses, so I'm looking forward to trying other products.
Real Chemistry Luminous 3-Minute Peel - I'm always thrilled to see a peel, mask, or exfoliator. So, this is a hit for me.
SeaRX - Anti-Wrinkle Facial Lift Treatment Serum - I'm never disappointed to get another face serum, no matter what size it is. I always save whatever is in the little boxes for last, it's like an extra surprise. I just finally figured out they put items in there to protect them during shipping, when they don't' come with their own packages. I did not figure this out on my own. I read it somewhere. Probably MUT.

Birchbox November 2014 Review

**This post contains referral links**
BirchBox is $10 + tax each month. You get 5 products each month, both sample size and luxury sample. I have discovered many new brands from them. They are one of the original subscription boxes and a true inspiration. They also do monthly videos and it's quite obvious they work very well together, and have fun doing it!
This months box was wrapped up in this advertisement for HIV awareness. Burchbox has teamed up with Red for AIDS awareness. All subscribers are being asked to photograph their red Birchbox and share it on social media with the hashtag #shaRED. Each time a photo is uploaded with the hashtag, Birchbox will donat $1 to the organization.
Amika Nourishing Mask Sea Buckhorn Berry - I thought this was a face mask, but it's not, it's a hair mask. I never heard of this brand, but I'll try it.
the Balm Cosmetics Ciney-Lou Manizer - This is a highlighter, shimmer, shadow. I have gotten Balm Cosmetics items before, and I LOVE their packaging. Seriously, does it get any cuter?? LOVE.

Cuppa Cuppa Tea Tree Mask - This was the item I got to pick this month. It's a clay mask. Leave on for 8 minutes. I wish it was bigger, but I think this will be a one use item.
Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy body lotion relaxing sea fennel - The fragrance is not too bad, smells refreshing. Like a cucumber.
Cynthia Rowley Creamy LipStain in Heartthrob - I love the color, this is perfect for me. I was just almost out of my other teeny tiny lip gloss, which I like to have in my smallest going out purse, so this is good timing for NYE.
Dang Coconut Chips -  It's a snack, so naturally I've already opened and started working on it. It's exactly like it sounds. Crunches like chips, and tasts like coconut. I imagine this would be a good topping on a salad or a sundae.
ThirdLove Thong 3 pack - This was my upgrade item. I've had this brand before and they are super stretchy.

BirchBox October 2014 Review

 Info Card! Thanks BB!
dr. Brandt Pores no more vacuum cleaner - My favorite item this month!! I'm absolutely loving this brand and excited to try another one of their products. This one is geared to work on blackheads, and who wants those? yuck, no thank you. This works like a mask, you apply a thin layer to "areas of concern" wait 5-10 minutes, and then you find it has turned Blue! Blue? How cool is that? Full size is $45 and if this works as well I'm expecting then I'll totally be picking up!
Macadamia Professional Flawless Cleansing Conditioner - I was hoping to get a cleansing conditioner eventually because I have been wanting to try. If you aren't familiar, this is like a two-in-one product. Basically, a conditioner that also cleanses, but focuses more on the condition part. This does not have a lather, and you have to make sure to rinse thoroughly.
Laura Geller Beauty Spackle Under Make-Up Primer - This is always welcome in my house. I've used this brand before, and I like to keep primers on stock, since I totally believe in them.
I'm always soo curious to see what they put in this little box.
Camille Bechman Tuscan Honey Glycerine Hand Therapy  - I thought the little rose pasted on top of this little jar was totally cute. I also really love the packaging on the full size items, totally Tuscan.
Coastal Scents - Revealed 2 Eyeshadow Pallet Set - IDK why it says two, when there were 4 shadows included. I guess there are some mysteries that I'll never know!

Not everything was a hit with me this month, however, I love the thing I love more than enough to make up for it!

Birchbox September 2014 Review

Once again, my BirchBox arrives when I am out of town. So, I'm a little late getting this posted. If you are interested in Birchbox, send us an email at BrierReview@gmail.com, and we will send you an invite.
I LOVE the box this month. It's pretty, new, and very different than the plain brown boxes in the past. The pattern is the represent the new season. It's their anniversary box, and meant to be saved, which I will be doing.
The info card that was included is very complementary to the box design. Love.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit - I looked at the reviews on this, apparently they have a cult following. This was one of the choice items that we could pick, and I wanted to try this one. It included the Muslin cloth for wiping the product off.
Tocca Crema da Mano - Bianca - This lotion has green tea and lemon lotion. It does not really smell like either one. But then again, I have a small cold right now so maybe I just can't tell. The fragrance was not overpowering and it did absorb quickly. It comes in different flavors and I'm considering trying out some of the others.
Temptu S/B Highlighter in Champagne Shimmer - This is liquid shimmer that is designed for illuminating or contouring. I like highlighters, so I'm not disappointed to get this.
Chapstick Hydration lock moisture and renew - I know this is a brand that has been around forever, but I love that BB included it because this one is new to the market. Chapstick is a well known trusted brand. BB says they wanted to include a cool affordable find, which this clearly is. This is a hit for me.
Harvey Prince Hello Fragrance - Meh. I wish fragrance was never included in subs. This is wasted on me, and I can't get rid of fast enough.
Skin and Co Sicilian Light Serum - Thrilled to see this. It's by far my favorite item this month. I LOVE this brand and can't get enough of it. This is rich in vitamin C, and can be used day/night, followed by a moisturizer.

The September box was a hit for me. I thrilled with at least three of the items, and not disappointed with the rest (other than fragrance). Well worth the $10, so therefore I'm very happy this month.

BirchBox August 2014 Review

Hi BirchBox! Feel like I haven't seen you in a month!

First Look! I already knew what I was getting, because I already peeked ahead of time. Even when I do that, I'm always still curious.
Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional - I've been absolutely wanting to try this for some time, so I'm very thrilled to get this sample size this month.
 Quarter for scale.
Harvey Prince Ageless Body Cream - This is grapefruit vanilla shea butter. The scent is stronger than I would have liked, but not too bad. It would be too strong for hands, but for legs, I think it's great.
Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate - This seems to be a serum booster. It works with your regular facial skin care routine to boost it, regardless of your skin concerns. I'm currently using a Dior serum booster, which I love, so I'll probably just toss into my travel bag.

Ojon rare blend oil Moisture Therapy - This oil is something you use very sparingly, one drop is all it takes. It is supposed to work well on end, but can also be distributed throughout to provide shine.
LAQA & Co - Sheer Lip Lube Pencil - Bees Knees, in Coral - This is a high-gloss semi-sheer lip color that perfect for summer. I did not open this, but I read that it's supposed to smell like mint. This is supposed to be a light color, which is perfect for the summer months.
