TOM Box April 2014 Review

*this post contains affiliate links*
TOM Box is a time of month box, meant to make those times just a little more comfortable. There is an option to do twice the monthly make up and jewelry for just a few dollars more, which we picked. We paid $22.
This month there were two different colored boxes included, which was pretty obvious it included the makeup items. When we have picked the double makeup/jewelry option in the past, we have found they send the exact same items, just two of them. I was hoping that the two different colored boxes meant they were including different items in each one.
This is the snacks they sent this month. I like that it's chocolate and a well known trusted brand.
The jewelry option this month is bracelets. They are the same thing, but different colors. I don't wear these types of bracelets, but I do like the detail on these. The green one has what I think is an elephant and a second silver decoration. The blue one has a flower and leaf, which I really like. Sorry about the different size pics but it is what it is.
Common Goat Sense LLC, Homemade Goat Milk Soap - I like that an Etsy type product was included.
Cailyn Eye Polish in Mink-  RV - $15 - I really like this stuff, even if I don't personally use it. It's a good quality and I like that better brands are now being included in the TOM boxes.
Philip B Lovin Leave-in Conditioner - I've gotten ths stuff before. I neither like nor dislike it. Paraben and Phthalate free, color and keratin treatment safe.
J Cat Roll it up Auto Lip Liner in Amaranth Pink - $4.99
nugg Face Mask  in Soothing - $3.29 These seem to be everywhere lately, but this is the first one I've received in a sub box. I'm actually happy to try it. It's getting great reviews. I've read that it's best to apply a thin layer in place of your normal moisturizer. Also, people seem to be keeping theirs in the refrigerator after opening.
Skin & Co Truffle Body Milk - This is a very good size sample. I love that it's another trusted brand.
TOM Box has really stepped up their game lately. I like that they are no longer just sticking to drugstore brands, but including products that ladies will actually use. I haven't added up the value, due to the sample sizes, but it's definitely an improved box this month.

SwaagBox TomBox March 2015 Review

I am so far behind on reviews this month. I'll try and get everything posted by the end of the month, but if that doesn't work out I'll probably just move on to April.

SwaagBox is a TOM box - $10-$24 month depending on which option you choose. You can pick supplies, or just makeup and jewelry. I'm not sure getting a TOM box is worth it if you do not get supplies.
I love that they include little chocolate snacks each month. I also like the taping around the box, it's let's me know instantly who this package is from.
I didn't make any changes to my account since the previous month, so they sent the same supplies I had already picked.
These are the jewelry products included. I do not like this type of bracelet, ever, but that's what MSA swaps are for. The necklace is also not my style, so I didn't take it out of the package because it's also going on MSA swaps. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure I've ever like the jewelry included in these boxes.
J. Cat Beauty Fantabulous Lipstick in HoneyCrisp - This color isn't for me, so I'm not keeping, but it would look great on someone who likes the lighter and peachy colors.
Cargo Eye Shadow in Oz - I received this exact item and color a couple months ago from another company. do not like it any better the second time around.
Clarisea Seat Salt Scrub - This 100% natural powder exfoliant gently buffs away impurities and dead skin cells with naturally nourishing ingredients to reveal a healthy layer of vibrant skin. The natural astringent properties of rose powder and orange peel powder cleanse skin. Almond flour gently exfoliates while powderized sea salt clarifies.
Bake Naturals Lip Balm - It's not easy getting excited for lip balm. This time is no exception.
Philip B Chocolate Milk Body Wash & Bubble Bath - this smells great! I'm looking forward to trying it.
Dior Capture Totale Muti-Perfecting Cream & Diorskin Forever Tent Haute Perfection - Dior is one of my favorite brands!! I'm totally excited to see this! I j

Swaag - TOM Box February 2015 Review

*this post contains referral links*
SwaagBox is a TOM box - $10-$24 month depending on which option you choose. You can pick supplies, or just makeup and jewelry. I'm not sure getting a TOM box is worth it if you do not get supplies. I had a mixup on my account this month, and they sent me two boxes. I opened both to see if there was any difference, but the only thing different was the snacks. I love that they include chocolate each month. I'm not posting values for sample sizes or links for the items I can't brand identify.

I'm happy with the mix of chocolate. What would make this even better would be deluxe chocolates.
Skin & Co Sicilian Body Lotion - This came with a white lid in one box and a silver one in the other, but it's the same item. The white one leaked.
Cargo Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Black - $22 I like that they are including brand names this month, because last time I got one of these boxes it did not include that and I wasn't overly thrilled.
Coolway Boost Repair - This product is new to me. For over-processed hair from harsh chemicals and high heat tools, this rejuvenating weekly treatment infuses your hair with an extra boost of Porphyra seaweed extract and other nutrients to improve elasticity and strength. I thought this would work like a deep conditioner, but it's different than that. If you wan to flat iron, you should do it on a low setting.
D&G Eau De Toilette - All fragrance is wasted on me. Unless it's fruity.
Cailyn Mineral Eyeshadow Powder in Autumn Full size included $12- I was so hoping to get different colors, but not this time. But again, happy to see brand names.
Playtex Gentle Glide 360 - I have never seen this in a 9/9 count before, not sure where that is even sold. I know it exists because it's on their website, I just don't know who retails it.
Bangles - I like that both a silver and a gold was included. I had to redo the pic because otherwise if they aren't side by side it wasn't really showing the difference. These are great for layering.

Swaagbox December 2014 Review

Swaagbox is a monthly subscription service for that time of month. Otherwise known as a TOM box. You fill out a survey, I picked fair skin, classic style and mode new.  They send you your choice of tampons or pads and they carry most major brands. They also send makeup and jewelry and chocolate. They sent a nice info card, which was needed because otherwise I can't identify everything. I do not have links today because the info card really just said assorted fillintheblankBrand items and then a price estimate. If they don't want to do the work to identify what's included, why should I? All drugstore brands anyway. We did the "double your make-up and jewelry" option. I will identify the 3 items that are part of this as I'm posting.

Chandelier Earrings $19.95 - We got two pairs of very similar looking earrings. The second pair is due to "double option". I'm not sure why you would get the same item for the double option, but I didn't curate. Regardless. Barf. I dislike them both. No way are these for the classic style I picked.
Prestige eyeliner  - I couldn't tell what color this liquid eyeliner was, I had to Google, it's like a purple. Very pretty. Still not for me.
Wet N Wild - Natural Wear Mineral Veil Voile Mineral.  We don't care for this brand.
Maybeline Limited Edition Whisper Color Red 305  - I think it looks ok. I actually like red lipsticks, and I'm ok with Maybelline, so this one is fine.
Wet N Wild Rapture Extase 923 - I am not a fan of this brand. But the color and packing looks nice.
L'Oreal Colour Riche 681 the Muse's Shine - L'Oreal is my favorite drugstore brand, so I'm not disappointed to see it. It's just, this has a very gold shimmery shine, and I'm not the type for gold on my lips.
Wet N Wild - Peachy Keen and Crystal Clear - This is a combo pack that has the bonus lip gloss.
Prestige eyeliner Charcoal - This I can gift, since I'm curating Christmas boxes for the girls in my family.
Always Ultra thin overnight pads - We picked an item at random for purposes of this review. This has 14 overnight pads included.
Mixed Chocolates - Oh, these are already gone. I like every one of these and they were actually my favorite items in the box.

We ordered on a Black Friday Coupon, so we paid a total of $8. Normally the prices are $24 for just one box, $16 for month to month billing, or $14 for a six month subscription. We are not that impressed. Although, it could be nice to have something so necessary delivered each month, and the number of items included is nice... but the drugstore brands just do not make up for the cost. I think if the two jewelry items were not so blech! and identical, then, we might not be so harsh on this review. But it is what it is.
