FabFitFun Winter 2016 Review

FabFitFun is a lifestyle box. It promises $175+ worth of full-size premium items. It has the season’s hottest beauty, fitness, fashion, and wellness items. It's one of our favorite boxes. For annual subscribers, there are now options where you can customize some of your items, which is great because then you are sure to get the colors you really want.
Cost: $49/quarter.
How Often: Quarterly
Ships To: United States via USPS

This was a new box this time, clearly Holiday inspired. They included a booklet, which I didn't read.
 First Look
This pin represents the Starlight Children's Foundation. I like how this box always sponsors a charity. Starlight brings happiness to critically, chronically and terminally ill children. We believe that every child deserves to experience the excitement, wonder and joy of childhood – because a sick kid is still a kid at heart. Starlight offers programs that provide entertainment, education and innovative technology to hospitalized children and their families. Founded in 1982, Starlight is an award-winning 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports children and families in the US, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.

D. L. & Co. Blackberry Nectar in Gold – $44. This is really pretty and smells great! I think this is the nicest candle I've received in a box. This is one of the items we got to pick out the one we wanted, and I'm very happy with my selection.

Gorjana Griffin Kiernan Double Pendant necklace - $75. I was trying to show you a better picture of the necklace, but I wasn't able to really get a good one. This was also one of the items we got to pick. The other option was the Gorjana Taner Toggle Lariat Necklace in Gold.
Anderson Lilley Winter in Manhattan Beach Body Cream –  $24. I did not like the fragrance on this, but I do like that a lotion was included.
O.R.G. Skincare Mineral Peel Face – $44. I'm looking forward to trying this. It's easy to use. You spray it on, wait a few seconds, wipe of with a washcloth (to exfoliate), then rinse. It's good for sensitive skin also.
Butter London Iconoclast Mega Volume Lacquer Mascara – $20. I've been wanting to try this mascara for awhile now. I'm hoping the makeup is the same quality as the nail polish, which I totally love. I originally discovered it in the Seattle airport, but nowadays it's everywhere.
Marie Mae Thank You Card Set – $24. These are really nice Thank you cards. I don't need these, because I already have a good set of thank you cards.  I don't think I use them nearly enough.
Moleskine Weekly Notebook Diary/Planner – $20.95. We got to pick our color for this. I picked the green and I think its as pretty in person as it was online. The other color was pink.
FabFitFun lets you choose add on items. I don't always get them, but this month I wanted a couple. I do like that they have a much bigger selection nowadays.
ToeSox Thigh High Leg Warmers in Black - $35. FFF charged $16. These are 40" and pretty tall. They will go great with leggings and especially nice for winter.
YUNI Skincare Muscle Recovery Gel 3oz Roll On - $15. FFF charged $6. I wanted to try this. I wish I could tell you how it works, but I've yet to try it.

Brouk & Co Leather Cord Roll in Black - $19.99. FFF charged $9. This was something I bought on complete accident. I was looking at it and did not realize it was in my cart, and then I thought I had deleted it, but I guess not. It keeps your chargers and cords organized while travelling.

FabFitFun  Winter box an approximate value of $253 (not counting add-ons). This is a pretty good value. This continues to be one of my top fav boxes, because of the creativity in the curation and that there are always useful items included.

FabFitFun Fall 2016 Review

FabFitFun is a lifestyle box. It promises $175+ worth of full-size premium items. It has the season’s hottest beauty, fitness, fashion, and wellness items. It's one of our favorite boxes. For annual subscribers, there are now options where you can customize some of your items, which is great because then you are sure to get the colors you really want.

This months box was designed to be interactive and you can actually color it. I hear that coloring is a great stress reducer. I don't have time to sit around and reduce my stress, but I think it's a great idea.
There is an info card that gives some coupon codes for some of the brands included, and an info booklet that goes into detail about the items and the companies featured. It also some tips on featured products such as styling/uses. Subscribers had an option to pick out their preferred version of several of the products involved, but I did not receive all of my choices. This is the first time that has happened to me.
ModCloth Loch and Key Blanket Scarf – $34.99. I had requested the green/navy version, which is a really difficult combo to find this year. I received this one but I was able to swap over on MSA with someone who really wanted this color. These are "blanket" scarfs, which means they are a lot more material than your average scarf and can also be worn as a wrap. I like the tip included for travelers that this would be great on a plane to use as a blanket.
Toesox Toeless Fitness Socks – $17. I really love toeless socks. Especially ones with grippers on the bottom. They are just so great for yoga when you want to wear something. I hear there were color variations included, I am very happy with the black pair.
The BrowGal Brow Gel – $20. This is clear and water resistant. Basically, it can keep your brows shaped where you placed them, but more importantly, it can seal in your brow color from your brow pencil or gel. I prefer tinting my brows, but for those times in between this could come in handy.
The Created Co. To-Go Coffee Mug – $19. There were two different versions included, the other choice was "Joy Comes in the Morning". I really don't know why but that would have annoyed me. Yep, I definitely a coffee first joy later type.
Skin Laundry Restoring Night Serum – $50. I don't know why, but I had figured we were getting a skin serum this season. It's great for the changing weather. I'm not in need of it, but it does contain those powerful antioxidants.
Mullein & Sparrow French Lavender Body Oil – $18. I really love body oils. Really love them. But unfortunately this has Lavender in it and I am so not a fan of that.
Secret Outlast Xtend Clear Gel Completely Clean Deodorant – .5 oz. $.77 - I have always been a fan of this brand. I am really shocked at this size though. It's like half of a sample size. I know it's a bonus item, but I would have been more impressed if they had included a full size version. It's a company that makes plenty of profit so I don't think that's too much to ask.
Spongelle Bulgarian Rose Body Wash Infused Buffer – $16. I didn't see this in the info book, so I'm wondering if it was a last minute sponsored item? I do love getting sponges, but I am not a fan of rose at all.
Cottonelle Fresh Care Wipes –$1.66. This is another sponsored item. I like getting sponsored items because they feel like little bonuses. These are going into my guest bath. I've used these before, I think these are the best brand. One thing to know is they are flushable.
Pure Cosmetics Nude Collection – $50. This was the primary spoiler item. The collection is really pretty and I like the neutral colors. There are a lot of uses for this, so don't feel limited to only using it for eyeshadow. I've seen people create entire makeup looks out of just one palette, and the range on this one is endless.
FabFitFun Coloring Book & Pencils – $14. These were created for this box so the link I've included is for Pencils of Promise, which is an organization that is focused on increasing access of quality education for children in developing countries. There were choices on the coloring book, the other variation was "Nature". I did not specify a preference. Coloring is supposed to help reduce anxiety and stress. Hhhmmm, I may know a college student that can use this....
I have calculated an approximate retail value of $225.42. This was just a really fun box this month, excellent curation, and I hope to see more like this in the future. This is one of our top recommended boxes to those who are new to the subscription box phenomenon.

FabFitFun Summer 2016 Review

FabFitFun is a lifestyle box. It promises $175+ worth of full-size premium items. It has the season’s hottest beauty, fitness, fashion, and wellness items. It's one of our favorite boxes. For annual subscribers, there are now options where you can customize some of your items, which is great because then you are sure to get the colors you really want.

I LOVE the cute summer box this was packaged in!! The theme was obviously summer!!

I even love the sticker that was used this month to keep the tissue paper wrapped!

First Look!
This is an info card not a coupon. This is for Compeed Blisters Cushions. I didn't quite capture a look at the info booklet this month, but I do have it showing in the last pic.
Coupon for $35 for Hello Fresh. I receive this, or a variation of this, a LOT. It's only for first time customers.
Stemulation Daily Micro Derm Srub - $34. I can always use an exfoliator skin scrub. This even works on face. Developed to clean refresh and renew skin texture.
Passport to Beauty Gypset Luminous Lips - $18. This is pretty glossy. I'm probably least excited about this since we get so much lipgloss this time of year. But it's pretty either way.
Osea Atmosphere Protection Cream - $48. Osea gets great reviews. This is a face/neck cream, but is much lighter than a normal lotion or cream. This is supposed to work well for those with fragrance sensitivities so I'm looking forward to trying it.
Beach Everyday Beach Waves Spray - $18. Basically this is a basic beach waves spray for when you let your hair air dry. I can never get my hair to remain frizz free without a blow out, but I would assume this would work nicely for those who can.
Burts Bees BB Cream. These samples were bonus items. I believe everyone was supposed to receive only one, but I got two of BB Cream. I do use this occasionally and I do like it. The other option was BB Cleansing Oil.
Summer Rose Yoga Towel -$36.  Mine says DREAM BIG - It's the orange one. It’s a microfiber fabric and machine washable, and  24 X 68 inches. The others were a blue More Happy Less Worry, and a Pink Good Vibes. I'm happy with what I got. This was also a spoiler item and I did get to pick. I made my choice based on the saying.
Betches Ice Pop Molds - $19. I cannot find a link for this online. These are basic popsicle makers, in the shape of champagne bottles. Which is cute. I won't use, but I think it's cute, and great for this time of year.
Compeed Blister Cushion - This is another sponsored item - coupon listed above. I've already thrown in my travel bag. Who couldn't use a blister pad when on the go? I wish they had sent a full box, but a coupon is always nice.

Trina Turk Canvas Tote - Seas the Day - $55. This is serious quality and I believe this is my favorite item. This was one of the spoiler items and I got to pick my color, so I went with Blue. The other colors were yellow and orange. This is very roomy and will make a great beach bag. I'm thrilled to get this. Just wanted to show  you how roomy this really is. I'm not quite sure I captured it on the pic, I have a hard time taking selfies against a mirror while balancing, LOL.
The approximate value of this months FabFitFun box is $228, which is great for a $50 box. FabFitFun continues to be one of my favorite boxes. I'm thrilled with the beach bag, the quality is simply amazing!
