Fabletics February 2016 Review

Fabletics  is a fitness wear subscription box that is co-founded by Kate Hudson. You can skip or pick each month. If you choose to pick then you pick out a complete outfit. If you forget to skip, they will charge you the monthly fee and then you will get credited to your account. The quality is above average on most items and the styles are cute.

Cost: $49 - $89/month.
How Often: Monthly
Ships To: United States via USPS

Back Track Tee II - $29.95/VIP $15.95. I really liked this online, but once I had it to try on I found it overly complicated. It didn't take long to figure out, but it made me think. Meaning I had to put thought into where to put the arms through, you know, after I got it wrong the first time, so I was just over it.

Salar Capri - $49.95/VIP $34.95. These are really good quality. Sometimes the items at Fabletics are hit/miss when it comes to quality, but the Salar leggings & Capris are what they really nail. I recommend sizing up on these, unless you like the compressed feel. I do not, I just want them fitted.
I'm 50/50 with my outfit I picked this month. I loved the salar capris, but I do not love the tee I picked. I had to show the pro pics next to mine. Guess which are which?

LIT NYC Nail Polish and Lip Gloss Review

*these items were sent to us for review purposes*

LIT NYC, is a new and innovative cosmetic brand that is inspired by wearable technology and the city that never sleeps! Products include nail polishes and lip gloss, both featuring an LED lighted cap for precise application. This is a feature I missed originally, but once I found it I think it's totally cool.
LIT NYC Lip Gloss in "107 Oh La La" - $7.50. This has an LED light in the cap, and a mirror on the side. Perfect for reapplying in a not so well lit atmosphere! This particular color is very sheer and adds just the right amount of shine. The color is not too pink, which means it can be worn very well either alone or over a lipstick. We noticed that one coat was plenty.
LIT NYC Nail Polish in "Envious" - $7.50. I initially didn't realize this nail polish had an LED light in it. I've seen this in lip glosses before, but never in a nail polish. It's a feature I've quickly come to love. The nail polish is five-free, no formaldehyde, camphor, DBP, or formaldehyde resin and toluene. I'm thrilled  with the color we got, it's very festive.

These pics are showing with one coat, and then two. The first coat is fairly sheer, and would work just fine if you want just a sheer shimmer look since the colors are fairly shiny. The 2nd coat really brings out the color, just a lot deeper. I didn't try it with a third coat, but I'm confident the color would be very prominent at that point. I'm considering layering a coat over another color, a matte pink, to add some shimmer and shine to what is otherwise too flat a color to wear proudly.
Both of these items can be purchased at CVS for a reasonable price ($7.50/each). We were unable to find at CVS online, but we have seen them in stores. I heard there was a Holiday kit out last December, that for $15 included both the nail polish and a lip gloss, but we missed this. It would have made a perfect stocking stuffer gift. We love the variety of colors that are available, 12 shades for the lip gloss and 24 colors for the nail polish.

Beauty Fix February 2016 Review

Beauty Fix - is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription service from DermStore.com. They send you makeup, skincare, and haircare products. You will receive full and travel size items worth at least $100. They send items from well known brands. All items are sold on their website. You generally get a coupon each month as well. If you are interested, contact us and we can send you a link that will get you $10 towards your account.
Cost: $24.95/month
How Often: Monthly
Ships To: United States via USPS

The send a nice info card that explains the products included. The do not do a theme, but rather it's just a collection of makeup and beauty items.
GloMinerals Suede Matte Stick - $16. This is a creamy matte lipstick. It conditions lips with shea and mango oil. Colors varied. The color I received is "Punch", which is just a little too pink for my taste. But I do love this particular lipstick.
Lashfood Phyto-Medic Natural Eyelash Enhancer - $13.60. Utilizing potent hair-restoration ingredients found in nature to create an effective yet gentle 99.49% natural formula, this enhancer ensures long-lasting hair nourishment and growth without the worry of irritation or future hair loss. I have read that you may not see results for 4-6 months, although they claim you can see in as little as 4 weeks.
Danielle Creations Gold-Plated Eyelash Curler - $9.99. This is a professional-grade curler. I don't use eyelash curlers, but if I did I would love this for sure. The gold-plate is so pretty. This included two extra refill pads.
DS Laboratories Revita.Cor Hair Stimulating Conditioner - $15.40. The conditioner works up to 12 hours after rinsing. This is a high performance hair stimulating therapy for follicle revitalization. It's safe for all hair types. Last month we received the shampoo by this brand, so it's nice to get the conditioner as well. K is going to use this, because her hair is a little fried from all the coloring.
Skinceuticals AGE Eye Complex - I love this brand. This is sample size, not for resale, so I couldn't get a price estimate. The full size is $92 for .5oz. This offers both instant and lasting anti-aging benefits to the eye area. Reduces the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, moisturizes and nourishes to prevent future signs of aging.
Pur-lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Serum - $65. I didn't quite realize this is full size, but apparently it is. An all-around eye serum to combat wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles. I was surprised to see two different eye serums in the same box, but I'm not overly disappointed with that. This is said to be 4 times as powerful as a regular eye serum, full of anti-oxidants. Always free of parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, synthetic colors/fragrances, and no animal cruelty. People are totally raving about this, so I'm happy to try it.
Nick Chavez Beverly Hills Advance Volume Hairspray - $6. A firm-hold, volumizing hairspray for all hair types. My hair does not particularly care for this brand, so I'll pass on this one.
This months box has an approximate value of $126, not counting the sample size Skinceuticals crème that I can't get a price for. The Pur-lisse Blue Lotus well makes up for the price of the box.

Little Lace Box February 2016 Review

Little Lace Box is a bi-monthly lifestyle, fashion, and beauty box. They consistently send really unique and hard to find items. This is one of the more creative curations, and they are pretty good about picking items that support the month’s theme. This box often includes the types of items that have not been found in any other subscription box, such as a teapot and dishwashing soap. The boxes are generally packed and the items are good quality. Subscriptions generally sell out months in advance. The rewards program can offer you discounts in the shop.

Cost: $49.99/month, $134.99/3 month subscription, $269.95/6 month subscription
How Often: Bi-Monthly
Ships To: United States (including Alaska & Hawaii & Puerto Rico) via USPS Priority

The theme this month is Love Letters. Ever thine. Ever Mine. Ever Ours. Beethoven and his love letters was the inspiration for this month.
"I love Hearts" Canvas Tote by Vine Street market USA - $35.99. This tote is fairly big, I placed a quarter for scale, but it's kind of lost in the pic. It is very sturdy canvas and made from repurposed and organic materials. It folds up into itself, so it's compact and easy to carry around.
Coupons that were included this month:
Vine Street Market USA 20% off coupon - This was included I with the tote. If you do enough sub boxes, you will never ever have any reason to purchase a tote. But there are some really cute ones on this site. They have scarves also.
16" Throw Pillow by Deny Designs - $39.99. The code will be emailed in a couple days. You can choose from over 9000 designs. I like that a pillow was included, and I like even better that there is an option for you to pick exactly what matches your taste.

Yedi Housewares Porcelain Inside Out Heart Tea Cup and Saucer - $8.99. This porcelain teacup and saucer is said to be an Oprah favorite. I can see why. This is really nice and would be perfect for a cup of tea.  Made from the highest quality porcelain, the Inside Out Hearts Collection comes detailed with either gold or platinum trim and now is also available in full glaze. The white/gold version is what was sent out. The teacups are hand glazed and available in six gorgeous colors
Wild Ophelia Peanut Butter Cups by Katrina Markoff - $2.99. I was excited to see this until I noticed the Peanut Butter. Meh, not a fan. but I do love it when treats are included! This is said to be high quality chocolate. There were several variations sent out. To honor its commitment to inspire, encourage, and help empower American female entrepreneurs through its chocolate, Wild Ophelia will donate a percentage of it's profits to organizations that fund such women.
Letters to my Love by Lea Redmond - $14.99. This is for a time capsule. Each envelope has a theme, such as "when we met". You basically write love letters, from the heart, to be opened at a later date. I LOVE this. I have zero use for this and will not be keeping, but I sure love the concept. I think this would make a great gift for a new bride.
Ever Mine Red Metallic Executive Pen - $8.99. This goes nicely with the Love Letters. This pen is very nice and comes with a velvet black pouch. This was custom made for this months LLB box, and is a reminder to be Ever Mine, to listen to your heart, be true to your dreams, your goals,  your family, your loves, and yourself!
This months box has an approximate value of $112. This is not my favorite box, as far as usefulness goes. But once again, they have really curated a very creative and unique box.

Quarterly Co Monthly Discovery Box Review

Quarterly Co Monthly Discovery Box is a quarterly subscription service with many different curators. You select a curator that looks interesting to you, and you should receive their box every quarter. Not all curators’ ship on time, meaning it could be much longer than 3 months, but you will never be billed until the box actually ships. The idea is that they tell a story with the items they choose for each box. They tend to find a lot of original and interesting items that you may not have thought to get yourself. This is a great box to discover new products, or to follow a favorite curator. They usually find unique item you may not think to get for yourself. You can get boxes specific to beauty, travel, culinary, fitness, and any many other themes. The Monthly Discovery box has items from the other boxes.

Cost: $35
How Often: Monthly
Ships To: United States via USPS and International shipping is available

This box does not include an info card, so I have to find the items the best I can.
Clean Bottle - $10. With the Clean Bottle, cleaning and drying are easy. Both the top and bottom of the bottle unscrew, so this washes out easily. Made with 100% non-toxic, BPA-free plastics. And 10% of all Clean Bottle profits are donated to environmentally and cycling-friendly charities. This is the same bottle as seen at the Tour de France.
Rishi Tea Simple Brew Loose Leaf Teapot, 13.5 Ounces (400ml) - $14.50. One of a king, made of durable borosilicate glass to avoid thermal shock. This has a strainer lid that snaps on, no press action require. Easy to clean, dishwasher safe. This gets fairly good reviews, the tea does not stay in it long enough to get bitter. And even though the glass is thin, it's said to hold up well in both the microwave and the dishwasher.
NLP The New Technology of Achievement, Neuro-Linguistic Programming Book - $8.99. Meh. Another self-help book to help you get what you want out of life. This one has a 21-day step program. I wish sub boxes would send books in kindle form, I'm more likely to read. This one, I'll probably pass.
This little button is cute. I have no clue what to even do with it. I can't find a price because it's so non-descript.
Tattly Design Temporary Tattoo - $5. What to Focus On - Happy temporary tattoo. I like getting temporary tattoos, but this one, I'll pass on. This is pretty good size.
Tattly Arrow Tattoo - $5. This also includes the card "Hunter.” Apply your arrow tattoo as a reminder to always go after whatever you want. I could not find a link for the card, but I think it's super cute.
Poppin Notebook Cahier - $2.  This fits perfectly in a purse or handbag. Great for jotting down notes on the go. I love to get little notebooks in sub boxes, because I use them often.
This months box has an approximate value of $45.50. Quarterly co is pretty good about matching the costs of the box with the approximate value of the items. I really like this box because of the mix of items that are included.
