Glossybox April 2014 Review

Last day of the month and GlossyBox finally arrived. I was hoping it would make it in time. But yes, this is one of the downsides to the company. They have shipping problems every other month. Almost consistently. But I still love getting my GlossyBox.

I love getting the info cards. GlossyBox has a good info card with a summary.
 FIRST LOOK!!!

Bellapierre Cosmetics - Super Gloss in Vanilla Pink. This has natural ingredients, and is supposed to also have a natural lip plumper. I don't know enough about stuff to know what that could be from.
Lasplash Cosmetics - Eyeshadow Sealer/Base - This is a sealer that makes your Eyeshadow waterproof.
Caldrea Body Wash - Aloe Water Apricot. I was excited to see this, because I have heard good things about this brand. I have to admit, I was expecting it to smell way better than it actually does.
Aqua Spa Relax Body Crème - Lavender and Chamomile - I'm allergic to at least one of these ingredients, so this is out. K was excited to see it though.
Ciate London Paint Pot Nailpolish- A week ago, I wouldn't have cared for this color, which by the way, I can't find a label for. But in the past week I have seen some nail art pics, that I am looking forward to trying to replicate on my own nails. I also picked up some nail art pens recently at Ulta, that will be needed for the project. I'll post if I ever get around to it and only if it turns out half as good as what I saw.

This hasn't been my favorite GlossyBox. But I am happy to see the Ciate London Paint Pot Nail Polish. I'm way too tired tonight to get any links added.

Beauty DNA April 2014

Just came home to find my April Beauty DNA box!! So, exciting. I feel like I haven't gotten a box forever. Seriously, April boxes, where art thou?? Box was a little beat up this month, I'm blaming the delivery guy.

Seeing these personalized cards will never grow old!
They told me exactly why they picked this product for me. It's fragrance free and hypoallergenic! It's lightweight cream and the product contains retino and vitamin E, but not mushroom or Rose. I love that they got it right!

Eau Thermale Avene Ystheal Anti-aging eye cream - $34. It's supposed to help with current signs of aging, and prevent future signs of aging. Sounds good to me. I couldn't find this exact match on the Avene website, which I thought was odd. I was really hoping for an eye cream or nightly moisturizer this month, so I was happy to see this. Unfortunately, that didn't last. I have read some reviews and it is recommended to test on your arm for reaction, prior to use. Great, I thought I would give that a try. I quickly discovered there is no place for whatever formula this is made of to actually dispense from the container. I don't know how much you can see from this pic, but there is NO HOLE for this to come out of.
I'm contacting Beauty DNA, will let you know what I find out.

Sinful Colors Professional Nail Polish Review

I just received this nail polish as a sample, so I thought I'd write a review. The brand is Sinful Colors, which I have never heard of. The color is Tidal Wave, and although the pic doesn't do it justice, it's kind of like a Robins Egg blue. I love this color, we have been searching for this color this season. I did a quick search online and found a mauve color from this brand that I also loved.

Pros: The colors are great, the price is very budget friendly around $2, and the bottle is cute.
Cons: Very watery, you must apply several coats. The pic above is 3 coats, and I can still see through it in some spots as it did not apply evenly.

Verdict: If you have the patience to apply a lot of coats, then this is a great budget friendly option that has a variety of awesome colors. After all, not every nail polish can look great with just one coat like Dior does. If you prefer more quality, then stick with the top shelf name brands.

The Style Box by Social Bliss April 2014 Review

I just received the Stylebox by Social Bliss today. I really don't understand why I always get my boxes so late, I believe everyone else received theirs last week! This is my first box from Social Bliss, and we just added this. K did purchase a previous month box a couple weeks ago, but this is our first since signing up for a subscription. We paid $37.90 including shipping. Total value is $206.
The box was well labeled, so no surprises who this one was from.

The first thing I saw when I opened the box was "HELLO GORGEOUS". I love it when a box greets me with such compliments!
First thing I pulled out was this Izzy & Ali bag. Inside the bag was the real bag.
Socialite's Night Out Bag by Izzy & Ali $129 - Love this bag. I think if I had gotten the black or the navy one K would be fighting me for it. I'm writing this blog and watching Access Hollywood right now, coincidentally, they just showed Izzy and Ali bags. Found out they are Vegan Bags (did not know that). And there is a special price right now for $43 through this website. The one in this box is the Hannah Shoulder.

Girls Night Out Nail Art Kit by Stella - $7 This is really cute. I especially love the pic of the nail in the lower left corner. I am nowhere near that talented however. Or patient.
Touch of Sparkle Cubic Zirconia Earrings - $50 - These are cute! K is taking them to wear on her trip to Vegas this weekend.

The Little Black Compact - $5 - This is just a little mirror compact, shape of a flower, it's cute. K grabbed this for her purse.
Better Than Sex Mascara by Too Faced - $15 - This is mini size. I've been wanting to try this so I'm happy to see this.

We will be keeping this subscription for a few months to see if we continue to find it interesting. If you are interested you can click here.

Gwen Stefani OPI Line Review

In November OPI announced they were doing a collaboration line with Gwen Stefani and I was ecstatic. I love Gwen Stefani, I still rock out to Just a Girl on a sunny day on the freeway. But I wasn't  going to pay $9 a bottle. So I was super excited to learn that they went on clearance for half off at ULTA as well as online at Sally's Beauty Supply. I took a quick trip to Ulta down the road and bought the entire collection (minus one color) for under $35!

Push and Shove ($4.50): This color is a silver chrome. It's very reflective and I love it! This one comes with its own mini base coat. It states on the box that it is only meant for 24 hour use. However, I don't see why this wouldn't last longer as it is a sturdy nail polish and I have worn other chrome nail polishes and never had an issue with it not lasting.

Hey Baby ($4.50)- I love this pink! I think it was definitely inspired by Gwen's pink hair from the 90's! Its a solid color and great quality. While I have other pink nail polishes the picture with Gwen black and pink nails sold me on it!

4 in the Morning ($4.50)- This is a matte black color with a satin finish. It has a slight glitter tint to it. I love this color too. It looks great paired with the pink, gold, glitter, and the rhinestones.

In True Stefani Fashion ($4.50)-This one is my favorite of the set! The color is incredible, it a silver glitter bast with holographic flecks in it. You can wear it on its own or layered on other colors.

Love.Angel.Music.Baby($4.50)- This is a gold color with a satin finish. It's probably my favorite gold I own now. This one also has a matte finish. I am thinking of pairing it with the black and rhinestones it looks very art deco together.

Over and Over ($7.50)-Pics Coming Soon
You can't have a Gwen Stefani line without her signature red! I love the color, but really love the stones! I cannot wait to use them!

Overall I love this line! I didn't buy "I sang in color" because I wasn't in love with it. I feel like the colors are very fashion forward and love them! However, I don't feel like any of the colors are ground breaking so I would not have bought them if they weren't half off. I highly recommend snagging them up before they are gone!

Julep Bare Face Cleansing Oil and Konjac Sponge Review

I have been looking into trying a cleansing oil for a while. I am having bad breakouts and yet I am drying out like crazy so cleansing oil seemed to be a perfect solution. I love the light citrus scent. The sponge was not the texture I was expecting. It is a firm rubbery sponge texture that reminds me of a pancake. It arrived pre soaked which I thought was strange but it dried out while hanging and turned rock hard so I understand why they send it wet. I only used this stuff this morning but my face felt amazing! It made my skin soo soft. I will update in a week to let you know if I am having positive results from using it.

Caveman Foods Caveman Bar Dark Chocolate Almond Coconut I am excited to try this one, it looks yummy. Its Paleo diet approved.

Skinny Coconut Oil: Raw & Alkaline I love cooking with coconut oil so this is a win for me. The company claims it is the only 100% raw and alkaline coconut oil available on the market.

MelanSol 100% Natural Sunscreen-  This was my favorite item in the box by far! It is 100% natural Sunscreen lotion and is recommended for very fair skin that always burns and never tans and to be used during periods of lengthy or extreme sun exposure, which describes me to a tee. It is also Reef Safe. I am excited to try it out this summer and I hope it is as effective as other brands as I burn all the time.

Salamandra Naturals Organic and Natural Handmade Soap Lavender Oats-  This soap was very fragrant and over powered everything else. I love the concept of the soap but this is not my scent.

Nordic Omega-3 Jellies-  These are chewable tutti frutti fishes for children two years and older. They have no artificial coloring, flavoring, or preservatives and supports healthy brain, eye, and immune system function. I am totally willing to try these.

Natural Vitality Kids Calm Multi- This liquid multi supplement is described as the solution to both restoring a healthy magnesium level and balancing your calcium intake the result of which us natural stress relief.

Better Botanicals Apricot Eye Therapy- This eye cream strengthens delicate under eye skin, brightens and evens skin tone. I am excited to try this paraben free eye cream.

Overall I am very happy with this box. I am always looking for new organic and eco friendly products and this box introduced me to some. I ended up finding a Living Social deal for $25 for three months, so I went ahead and signed up! I am excited for the new bigger box with full sized samples. What did you guys think?
